AppraisalMark® is an independent appraisal management company.
We provide service for our clients at the highest level in the industry.
Our mission statement is to provide Appraisal Quality and Service for our clients at the highest level in the industry:
- On behalf of its Clients, AppraisalMark will hand-select each appraiser for every assignment. Selection will be based on geographic competency, product type, and service level.
- The appraisal panel will be selected from a core group of appraisers, not a random draw or round-robin generated by a software package.
- AppraisalMark will select only the top-tier appraisers in each market and pay them on a cost-plus model taking a fixed fee for services. Many Appraisal Management Companies select the low-cost provider for services, “skimming” as much of the fee as possible.
- The appraiser selection process between the Client and AppraisalMark will result in a reliable, competent and consistent product for production, underwriting, investors, realtors and the Client.
AppraisalMark will seek the most local qualified appraiser to complete an appraisal assignment. Whenever possible, the appraiser should live or work within fifteen miles of the property in populated areas, 30 +/- miles in nonpopulated areas. We also utilize several proprietary methods to find quality local appraisers.
AppraisalMark’s office is adjacent to our sister company, Norris Property Consultants, Inc. This affords us the luxury of Mark Norris’s 30 plus years of appraisal experience, as well as 15 additional Certified Residential appraisers to help with any difficult or unusual situations that might arise.
In addition to appraisers, AppraisalMark employees have a combined 30+ years of Mortgage Banking and Real Estate experience, including licensed real estate agents on staff.
Our well-rounded industry experience gives us a unique perspective as an appraisal management company. We understand and respect the needs of the client, the appraiser, the borrower and the agents involved in the transaction. We take a proactive approach to dealing with any unexpected issues that arise.
Our experienced panel, responsiveness, and communication set us apart from the average Appraisal Management Company. We do not let issues linger and use our vast array of experience to resolve problems before they become an issue for our Clients.
